Tyneside Metal Detecting Associationhas moved from strength to strength. We have built up our membership with trusted people from the metal detecting community.
We are holding club digs twice a week usually and also dig alongside History Unearthed (Northern) searches for charity, which donates to the Great North Air Ambulance a charity close to the heart of our National Sites officer Stephen Llewellyn who had occasion to have to make use of their services.
Stephen runs two sections of History Unearthed (Northern and Central England) searches for charity and has been instrumental in collecting and donating to the air ambulance in excess of £80k. We are very proud of Stephen's success in this obsession of his.
On our club digs we make a donation to the landowner for the charity of their choice.
Membership is limited but we do have a waiting list for applicants to join.
We are all members of the NCMD and always abide by their rules and guidlines.
